Brian, we are expecting a partial eclipse of the sun over our ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง skies @ 16:15 tonight. It's 17:52 now and it's starting to dull over. Look out for it on your news feeds. Sadly it's not a full eclipse this time. Cheers DougT ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

Clint, "Oh My Darling". (Too vague of a reference to the fruit, the book, and your post?) Jennifer's "Mattering" is what Substack does for me! You astutely say, "Life happens. People change. Circumstances shift. Relationships evolve. Or end." Buddhists agree and would say we are changing all the time as is our world." But letting go is not easy. For me, the older I get, the less I need from others, but "mattering" continues, just differently. Fewer real live matterors (invented word?) is OK. More online matterors helps compensate. In the end "I am what I am and what I am is an illusion." As long as that illusion holds, in the mirrors and while outside, and that those people who are in my life still care, I am OK. Fondly, Michael

oh Clint, rest assured if you can write like this post you will have a profound impact and matter to more people than you can imagine. As one of those gay seniors you want to help, you have already done so for this old fart. Love ya guy, keep going, you matter enormously to so many already.
