Yesterdayās move couldnāt have gone better. Truly. The movers were courteous, kind, and faster than the speed of lightning. In less than three hours, all the ābig stuffā Iām keeping was safely delivered to my new place. Whatās left behind is mostly ālittle stuffā I need to finish sorting, plus a few bigger pieces that are headed for donation or the dump.
Iām sore as hell (moving is a full-body workout I wasnāt ready for) and exhausted. But Iām also totally energized. So energized, in fact, that I had trouble sleeping last night. My mind was racing with ideas and possibilitiesāespecially around today's (and possibly tomorrowās) big adventure: turning a kitchenette into my new home office.
Thatās rightāgoodbye spacious living room and hello cozy kitchen nook. I tend to work well with a few limitations. They push me to get creative and make the most of what Iāve got. Make it WERK!
Step one: a trip to IKEA. The plan? Pick up a simple tabletop and four adjustable legs. For under $70, Iāll have a brand-new desk thatās both sturdy and stylishāperfect for my work, my projects, and the next leg of this journey (pun intended).
My old standing desk wouldnāt fit the space, so Iām choosing to simplify. Leaner setup, lighter energy, and a fresh start.
If all goes according to plan, Iāll be fully functional and back to making montages by Friday. Yay!
Thanks for your patience, your good vibes, and for cheering me on during this whole moving mayhem.
Let the decorating (and desk-building) begin!
Keep calm and create!
