Before breakfast this morning, I had the displeasure of chatting with two of the same alleged “support” staff at YouTube who have been anything but supportive or helpful: “Llana” and “Neesa.”
Based on their automated replies and circular logic, they’re either chatbots or bot-like humans. In either case, they are dumber than a box of rocks.
Yes, Clint is frustrated and pissed to the highest of pissed-tivity.
Every encounter with YouTube Creator Support reinforces my view that there are few, if any, humans working there. On-screen folks on YouTube Creators must be actors. Or better AI than they use for YouTube Creator Support.
So it’s another day of “just wait” and another level of realization my problem may never get reviewed must less resolved:
After seeing “Llana” pop up again, I immediately asked to be escalated to a manager. (Yes, Clint has become a “Karen.”)
And, lucky me, I got “Neesa.” Again. She of the repeat-the-obvious-and/or-unrelated.
This morning, “Neesa” didn’t see my appeal on the video in question or even the strike on the channel.
Yet…I see the strike and my appeal in YouTube Studio. Plain as day.
Yeah, seems there’s a glitch in YT’s system and none of the glitchy bots want to address it. Those glitches must be their friends.
Well, they’ve made me glitch so much we should be GREAT friends.
For those reading this who have NO IDEA what the zuck I’m talking about, the following post I made earlier and screenshots will hopefully explain it…cuz I’m too angry and unable to make it make any more sense than this:
@YouTube + @YouTubeCreators = PLEASE HELP! I received an email on 07.19.24 about the following video being removed and receiving a strike on my Main Channel (https://www.youtube.com/@CollidePress):
I immediately removed the link (to a legitimate source...Wikimedia Commons) and appealed the decision, on 07.19.24. The video had been scheduled for a Live Premiere. It was privated (by YT) during the countdown. Several were tuned in to watch, but the video vanished before premiering. The video shows no restrictions in YouTube Studio and was never removed. As of 07.23.24, my appeal has yet to be reviewed. Based on repeated support chats I am not confident it ever will be. I've been unable to use my channel for five days. All because of a link to Wikimedia Commons. PLEASE HELP REMOVE THIS STRIKE...THANK YOU! Clint Collide
While two wrongs don’t make a right, I’m left with few alternatives than being a complete jerk. “Just waiting” isn’t working. Or realistic.
Being restricted from adding content to the channel for five days (so far) over a link to Wikimedia Commons is well past the limits of my patience.
Neesa: “I also would like to reinforce that repeating contacts for this same issue will not change the resolution provided.”
Me: “While it may not help, I'll continue being a squeaky wheel until someone (obviously not you) takes the issue seriously and gets me the help I need.”
That’s the latest (but far from the greatest) on my Don Quixotesque battle against the bots and jerks at YouTube.
Thanks for reading!
Clint
